Open Letter To Novegro Community
First of all, we wish to extend a cordial and warm greeting to all the people who live in Novegro.
With this letter we wish to make everyone aware of some initiatives that we will try to implement in the coming months (and perhaps years).
The beliefs, inspired by the Gospel, that push us to act are these:
1. the Christian community finds itself because it believes in the living and present Lord;
2. the parish remains at the service of the neighborhood with its different ethnic groups;
3. the parish takes into account the presence of the Luna Park and its workers, the proximity to the Idroscalo and the Airport.
4. a Christian community puts fragile people at the center.
We wish to carry out these initiatives:
Open the oratory.
To do this we will have the professional collaboration of a Coordinator of the Oratory and the help of local associations that work in favor of people with disabilities.
The Associations will help us keep the oratory open by animating it with activities open to all, starting with the most fragile people who will thus be a resource for the neighborhood.
The Associations will also have activities in the morning.
Catechism.
The catechism, for children of the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, will continue as in recent years: meeting on Friday. With the families of the 2nd grade children we will take a different path by relating to the families (and not just with the children).
For the children and their families, the moments of meeting will be on Sunday afternoon.
Don’t worry: not every Sunday!
We will start in November.
Church from the Gentiles.
Novegro is a neighborhood with a strong presence of Christian people belonging to different ethnic groups. With God’s help we will be able to create a multiform and multicolored Christian community: a rainbow.
To encourage moments of mutual knowledge:
- In every Sunday celebration there will be at least one reading proposed in a language other than Italian.
- The Our Father will be recited in Italian and to follow in a different language.
- The readers, alternating during the various Masses, will be able to facilitate the readings in the various languages
- We will invite all those who wish to join the choir, enriching it with voices and songs.
- We will experience celebratory moments in which every single ethnic group will be the protagonist, as already happened in Lent.
- Once the pandemic is over we will have, why not, some moments of celebration.
It will be noted that
- Slowly the gate of the parish… will be open all day, in the morning and in the afternoon.
- The church… will be open all day.
- The parish… will be more and more alive.
- With the contribution of all… we can have some more money for the economic management of the community.
- The environments… will be cleaned up, put in order, painted, not only engaging the few people who have done their utmost for years.
WHAT DO WE ASK?
NOTHING and EVERYTHING!
Nothing because we want to listen and, without forcing anyone, build relationships by offering a meeting space.
All because the community, the Christian and the civil one, is yours too if you want it. If you want it, go ahead, there is certainly a space for you too.
We wouldlike to start the year together with a Mass on October 3rd at4:30 p.m.

Lettera aperta alla Comunità di Novegro
Desideriamo innanzitutto rivolgere un cordiale e caloroso saluto a tutti gli abitanti di Novegro.
Con questa lettera desideriamo portare tutti a conoscenza di alcune iniziative che cercheremo di realizzare nei prossimi mesi (e forse anni).
Le convinzioni, ispirate dal Vangelo, che ci spingono ad agire sono queste:
1. la comunità cristiana si trova perché crede nel Signore vivo e presente;
2. una parrocchia rimane al servizio del quartiere con le sue etnie diverse;
3. una parrocchia che tiene conto della presenza del Lunapark e dei Giostrai, della vicinanza all’Idroscalo e all’Aeroporto
4. una comunità cristiana mette al centro le persone fragili.
Desideriamo realizzare queste iniziative:
Aprire l’oratorio.
Per far questo avremo la collaborazione professionale di una Coordinatrice dell’Oratorio e dell’aiuto di Associazioni del territorio che operano a favore di persone con disabilità.
Le Associazioni ci aiuteranno a tenere aperto l’oratorio animandolo con attività aperte a tutti, a partire dalle persone più fragili che così saranno risorsa per il quartiere.
Le Associazioni avranno attività anche al mattino.
Catechismo.
Il catechismo, per i bambini di 3° 4° e 5° elementare, proseguirà come negli ultimi anni: incontro al venerdì.
Con le famiglie dei bambini di 2° elementare faremo un percorso diverso mettendoci in relazione con le famiglie (e non solo con i bambini).
Per i bambini, e le loro famiglie, i momenti di incontro saranno la domenica pomeriggio.
Niente paura: non tutte le domeniche!
Inizieremo nel mese di novembre.
Chiesa dalle Genti.
Novegro è un quartiere con una forte presenza di persone cristiane appartenenti ad etnie diverse. Con l’aiuto di Dio potremo creare una comunità cristiana multiforme e multicolore: un arcobaleno.
Per favorire i momenti di conoscenza reciproca:
- In ogni celebrazione domenicale ci sarà almeno una lettura proposta in una lingua diversa dall’italiano.
- Il Padre Nostro sarà recitato in italiano e a seguire in una lingua diversa.
- I lettori, alternandosi durante le varie Messe, potranno facilitare le letture nelle varie lingue
- Inviteremo tutti coloro che lo desiderano ad unirsi al coro, arricchendolo di voci e di canzoni.
- Vivremo momenti celebrativi in cui ogni singola etnia sarà protagonista, come già successo in Quaresima.
- Superata la pandemia avremo, perché no, qualche momento di festa.
Si potrà notare che
- Piano piano il cancello della parrocchia… sarà aperto tutto il giorno, al mattino e al pomeriggio.
- La chiesa… sarà aperta tutto il giorno.
- La parrocchia… sarà sempre più viva.
- Con il contributo di tutti… potremo avere qualche soldo in più per la gestione economica della comunità.
- Gli ambienti… saranno ripuliti, messi in ordine, tinteggiati non impegnando solo le poche persone che per anni si sono prodigate.
COSA CHIEDIAMO?
NIENTE e TUTTO!
Niente perché desideriamo ascoltare e, senza obbligare nessuno, costruire relazioni offrendo uno spazio di incontro.
Tutto perché la comunità, quella cristiana e quella civile, è anche tua se lo vuoi. Se lo ritieni fatti avanti, c’è sicuramente uno spazio anche per te.
Vorremmo iniziare l’anno insieme con la Messa del 3 ottobre alle ore16.30
